A former Hammond man, Charles T. Griffith, 72 of Lakeland, FL died Wednesday at Hines Veterans Hospital. Services will be held Saturday at Snyder Funeral Home, Hohman Avenue and Warren Street, Hammond. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends may call at the chapel after noon Friday. Surviving are his sister, Mrs. Chestley Rodgers of Indianapolis and nieces and nephews. A retired carpenter, Mr. Griffith was a member of Carpenter’s Local 599; American Legion Post 168, 40 & 8, Voiture No 479; VFW Post 802 and Fraternal Order of Eagle, 1252. - kbz
